NASA Explorer
Purpose
This grant is open to teachers within established NASA Explorer Schools or previously designated NASA Explorer Schools and are utilizing curriculum to create a greater awareness of the NASA's mission and programs. Teachers may submit proposals of projects that include the integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Education and a local community partnership which will enhance the local community needs through authentic experiences.
Program Description
Funded by Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation the STEM Empowerment Grant will be administered by the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority. Small projects enhancement grants are available to teachers wishing to expand technology integration within established NASA Explorer schools or previously designated NASA Explorer Schools. Partnerships that engage in additional grant monies are encouraged but not required. Sources of additional funding may include the NASA Space Grant Consortium or local community organizations. Up to 15 grants for $1,500 each will be awarded.

How to Participate
Applicants must complete the NASA Explorer Grant application form available on the website of Arkansas Science & Technology Authority. This form is write-protected and may be downloaded for electronic completion.
